This beautiful guitar features a slightly thinner solid sitka spruce top for a lighter instrument and a unique tone that enhances the high and mid ranges. And with mahogany back and sides, the upper ranges are complemented by a rich, full lower tone for great tonal balance. A gorgeous mahogany neck with ovangkol fingerboard offers wonderful playability and response as well. And when you are ready to plug in, a D’Angelico preamp with onboard tuner kicks out rich, amplified acoustic tone.

The mahogany neck on the Gramercy has been cut to a player-friendly slim C-shape. The C-shape profile is the most popular profile for guitar necks the world over, and for good reason. Its contours are beautifully matched to the natural curvature of your hand, making chording and lead playing easier. In addition, this smooth neck also features 20 medium jumbo frets along the ovangkol fingerboard that add to the comfort and ease of forming chords and laying down lead lines. And with the deep, smooth cutaway you get wonderful access to those higher notes and creative voicings.

Fine appointments

The Gramercy features fine appointments normally found on more expensive instruments. To begin, X-scalloped bracing offers enhanced resonance and rugged durability. In addition, a genuine bone nut and saddle are featured for even more tone support. Finally, an ovangkol bridge adds to this wonderful acoustic’s resonance and sustain.
