Just lower one of the coils, and you’re ready to go! Once you’re off-stage, raise the coil back up to get the smooth, punchy humbucker sound. You can sculpt your tone with the 3-band EQ. This active equalizer delivers broad frequency-range adjustments on each band. There’s also a 3-way midrange switch that lets you define your instrument’s presence. The Ibanez EHB1006MS’s versatile electronics can produce any sound you need.

Reinforced 5-piece neck

Six bass strings apply much more force to a neck than you may realize. To combat that tension, Ibanez equipped the EHB1006MS with a reinforced 5-piece maple/walnut neck. The multi-ply design blends the sound of each tonewood. At the same time, the extra glue between the joints provides additional support for the neck. To further resist the tension of the strings, Ibanez added graphite reinforcement rods. What results is a naturally strong neck that resists shifts brought on by temperature, humidity, and the passage of time.
