The Grand Auditorium body of the 00-X2E sits incredibly comfortably in the lap and is light and accessible when played standing. The 00-X2E features a Sitka spruce top with HPL back and sides for a bold tone expressed through all three ranges — crisp highs, balanced mids, and rich lows. A select hardwood neck and fingerboard offer wonderful playability and response, great for flat-picking and finger-picking styles. Further, onboard Fishman MX electronics deliver wonderful amplified acoustic tone when you plug in.

Impressive plugged-in tone

The OO-X2E is loaded with Fishman MX electronics. The soundhole-mounted pickup and control configuration is a favorite for it’s great sound. The MX is manages to capture the natural acoustic tone of your 00-X2E and output the rich tone through your chosen amp. The volume and tone controls are mountedin the soundhole for a low-profile look and convenient adjustments.

Vintage construction, modern playability

The Martin Grand Auditorium body has been a favorite among performing guitarists for many decades. It delivers rich low end, while giving each note a balance and clarity that works as a solo instrument, for accompanying your voice, and for layering in a full arrangement. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret for a total scale length of 24.9″. The neck is built with Martin’s Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper to appeal to today’s guitarists.
