D’Angelico Deluxe DC Limited Edition Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar – Sage
Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar with Maple Body, Maple/Walnut Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and 2 Humbucking Pickups – Sage
Limited-edition D’Angelico with Premium Aesthetics and Sublime Sonics
The D’Angelico Deluxe DC Limited Edition — an elegantly appointed semi-hollowbody electric guitar with a true rock ‘n’ roll soul — is back by popular demand. Its semi-hollow maple body has a crisp, present high-end and punchy midrange bite undergirded by a warm, resonant low-end profile. A set of Seymour Duncan Retrospec’d Antiquity PAF humbuckers reinforces the Deluxe DC’s rock ‘n’ roll pedigree with visceral depth and robust dimension. Plus, the Deluxe DC’s ultra-comfortable “C”-shaped maple-walnut neck is designed for fluid runs and creative chord movements. The Deluxe DC is limited to 50 instruments available, so grab yours today and bolster your collection with an easy-playing semi-hollow electric with showroom looks and top-shelf sound.
Pure PAF tones
This guitar comes loaded with two Seymour Duncan Retrospec’d Antiquity humbuckers that deliver truly authentic PAF tones! These pickups are essentially the same as Seymour Duncan’s beloved Antiquity series PAF humbuckers, but without any of the hardware aging for a brand-new look. Seth Lover’s original late ’50s “patent applied for” humbuckers are legendary for their articulation, delivering the characteristic full-sounding low end and mid punch of a great humbucker, but without any muddiness.
Plays like a breeze
When you pick up the D’Angelico Excel DC for the first time, you’ll marvel at its inviting 3-piece maple/walnut neck. The “C”-shaped neck carve sits soundly in your hand, encouraging quick play up and down the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The instrument’s comfortable playing feel is a byproduct of its 25-inch scale length, which makes bends and vibrato feel effortless. Meanwhile, the double-cut maple body provides a bright tonal foundation, while enabling seamless high register access.
The D’Angelico legacy
After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his own shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the next three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. Following his passing, the D’Angelico legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, We are delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
