Just add external effects via a “Y” TRS insert cable, and you’ll be in business. You also get 1/4-inch input and output jacks for integrating The Guv’nor with your effects chain. The pedal’s standard footswitch not only engages and disengages the distortion effect, but also deploys and bypasses its built-in effects loop. This stompbox’s red LED status indicator is easy to see on a dark stage. Finally, The Guv’nor can operate on either a 9V battery or 9V DC power.
