The Thinline TSP178ACK N’s body is constructed entirely from Hawaiian koa. Koa looks beautiful — there’s no denying that. As for tone, this wood boasts the midrange of mahogany, along with the high end of maple. Take note — a new koa instrument may sound excessively bright; however, the more it’s played the more the sound will open up. Over time, your Thinline TSP178ACK N will increase in richness, sweetness, and resonance, especially for fingerstyle playing. Created explicitly for the Thinline Series, this preamp system features a 3-band EQ for tone shaping and a notch filter for feedback elimination. You also get an onboard tuner, battery indicator, and master volume control. When you combine the CT-3N’s stellar preamplification with Takamine’s proprietary Palathetic pickup, the results are impressive.
Compact and comfortable
Large acoustic guitars are appreciated for their massive tone and extraordinary projection.
